Like the Iowa game, I think ISU's defense is ready to step up again and will Saturday emerge as the identity of this team. I expect Husker fans to begin wondering about their vaunted West Coast offense after Saturday just as they have with their defense in recent weeks. While there are some matchup issues and will clearly be some big challenges for our defenders I am expecting another "surprise" to those outside of Cyclone football by the performance of our D. Saturday. Take a read and let me know your comments.
Interesting stat I came across, "Nebraska finished 17th nationally in scoring offense at 30.6 points per game in 2006, thanks primarily to an impressive offensive output at home. NU averaged 41.6 per game at home in 2006."
Since 1986, only eight schools have left Memorial Stadium with a victory.
