Having seen A&M's a dozen times or so, I can honestly say it still sends chills through my body when I attend a game. Goes to show you that it doesn't have to be some rock-n-roll or hip hop song to get you pumped up.

Speaking of A&M, we were talking about it at the last game, the people next to us had never sat in the stadium for the A&M band. Wow, of all the cool things about college football, of all the entrances, and traditions, that is the single coolest spectacle in all of sports.

What happened to that 12th man in that Thursday game against Miami? They could have used him. Lane looked like a garbage truck missing an axle.

They left him in College Station. The 12th man isn't on the travel roster and thus is limited to participation in home games only.

It's pretty neat, but at the A&M game in Ames a couple years ago, the fans were cheering louder for the opposing teams band than they were for the Cyclones. That irritated me a bit.

Do you remember that game? Wasn't that the night Homecoming game? We lost by 40 or something. Not much to cheer about.

Well, they are better than ISU's band, I think even the members of the ISU band would admit that.

I thought OU's. "there is only one" last year was awesome. It had every former coach and former star on the big screen.

Actually... they look better than ISU's band, but what they do is not nearly as difficult. Every show they do, the movements only require a 6 to 5 step (6 steps to go 5 yards). ISU does an 8 to 5, but most movements will require something different, so they have to adjust their step size for every chart of every show.

Actually as a former Marine I can tell you that the steps they do are ten time harder than the steps you do. When you are required to be that disipline when you march it takes every muscle in your bady to hold everything still when moving. It's not about the steps. It's the disipline to be sharp at a razor. The way ISU and most bands march it's about hitting spots and getting to a point. I watch ISU band and they march sloppy. There is nothing wrong with it. It is two different styles. The A@M band marches with Disiplin and it shows. I had a guy in my boot camp that was in the KU band for 2 years. He said it was way harder to drill than it was to march in band.

Yes, that is what I am talking about. I am not knocking our band, I have actually sat through all of their shows this year, and they are not bad. But aTm is insane, it is so exact, so precise. I just love watching it.

I still think we need to incorporate Thunderstruck somehow, with everyone chanting "Cyclones"

Wow, is there anything more overrated than the "tunnel walk" at Nebraska? Borrrrrrring.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
