PETA Targets Mario for Tanooki Abuse - Nintendo 3DS News at IGN

Brother sent me this. Thought it was fake at first, but could see them doing something like this.

    Re: PETA strikes Mario

Mario's been kicking turtles for years, I'm surprised PETA hasn't tried to save them

PETA would really be ****** to see me barbequing a random live chicken with my flame magic in Skyrim. Come to think of it, the farmer wasn't real happy with me either.

I've often wondered about this. What if everyone got on board with PETA? Does anyone really believe they would stop and just say, "OK, we've won, we are going to shut down shop!" or is it, as I think, they'll just keep coming up with wackier **** to do because it isn't about the animals as much as it is about the publicity.

I remember reading an article years ago that had an interview with the then President of the ASPCA, and he was bashing PETA left and right for this kind of stuff. He said that any good PETA might do is completely wiped out because we all get lumped into the "Crazies" and it keeps a lot of people from donating to the ones who are really out trying to save animals.
