One thing I DON'T want to see Friday night...

... unless we're already down by 30 pts... is the jet tempo offense by us.

I would think we let the play clock run down to under 5 secs on every play if possible? We MUST keep the ball out of OSU's hands as much, and as long, as possible.

If we run jet tempo and have some 3 and outs in under two minutes, we're in DEEP trouble.

If anything, running the play clock down might keep OSU from scoring 60 pts?

IMO, we will slow the game down and hopefully shorten it.

Re: One thing I DON'T want to see Friday night...

Getting first downs is more important than running the play clock down on every play. If the jet tempo is what allows us to get first downs I'm all for it. The way to shorten the game is to sustain drives and force them to drive the length of the field every time they score while not giving up big plays.

Use it. Worked perfect in the Tech game, and then when it mattered we ran a slow down offense in the second half.

This is the answer here. I'd add that we should get to the line of scrimmage quickly each play to not allow substitutions, even if we aren't going to snap it right away.

THe jet tempo may work well against OSU if we do not fumble.

TOP means absolutely nothing to Oklahoma State.

Kansas State controlled more than 40 minutes of the clock against them and the Cowboys still put up 52 points.

When we have the ball we should be worried about what is most effective for us to score points. We can't let Weeden, Blackmon and Co. beat us when they aren't even on the field.

You feel the floor give you a little tingle, man, Iowa State junior point guard Monte Morris said in a private moment after the game, leaning against a wall in the bowels of Hilton Coliseum. You feel it. You feel it. Its real. You feel it on the court. Its a tough feeling to explain. Its a vibration. It gets you going.

    He paused.

    Its magic.
