Smile Hope for the ISU-Nebraska Game

    THE GOOD

NU is #75 on total defense. 407 ypg

NU is ranked #99 on rush defense. 203.5 ypg

NU is #45 in pass defense. 203.5 ypg

NU is #74 in scoring defense. 29.0 points

NU is a 22 point favorite.

NU catches Missouri at Columbia next who has the week off.

NU has trouble with dual threat qbs.

NU defense first reads and then reacts too slowly instead of blasting to the ball.

Sam Keller throws a straight ball that noses down. He rarely can loft a pass over the defender.

Sam Keller prefers to throw to the same spot over the middle five yards deep if allowed.

Their fans actually booed at them some last week.

Nebraska has trouble with motion, fake handoffs, cutbacks as they over react through their reads.

Mo Purify does not play every play.

    Castille the backup sometimes fumbles.

Helu is the back of the future and is good but not large.

I understand your point. However, I would feel more comfortable if the argument could be made that we are a good team and therefore have a chance at defeating Nebraska as opposed to the argument that Nebraska isn't really all that good so therefore we have a chance to win.

One problem with their D stats, they played USC. Just image how much worse ISU's stats would look after a game with the Trojans.

Actually I believe Ball State dropped more yards on them than they have ever seen in memorial stadium... Pretty weird when you can say... Those stats are inflated because of the Ball State game..
