Iowa State mentioned on ESPN First Take by Skip Bayless

While discussing the Bills vs. Cowboys game, Skip Bayless poked fun at Rob saying that he would pick Iowa State if they were playing Dallas. Rob and the other anchor told Skip to wait a minute, because Iowa State is really good actually and probably would beat Dallas, with Skip agreeing that we are actually really good because of the way the Cyclones beat Tech a couple of weeks ago 41-7.

Even though it was a dig at Iowa State at the beginning, all 3 anchors agreed Iowa State is a very good team. Nice to hear from those guys, considering the fact the ESPN always s**** on us.

Another reason why the wins in the state of Texas are huge.

That may be, but it is cool to see the two other hosts step and tell him to find a new school to be his generic terrible football team. And then he backs up and agrees with them? Nice to hear.

Re: Iowa State mentioned on ESPN First Take by Skip Bayless

I watched it and did not find any of it to be a dig. A 5-4 Big 12 team should lose to even the worst NFL team. Skip made a similar comment earlier in the show regarding Rutgers a 6-3 Big East team. After the ISU comment he then immediately recalled the 41-7 score over Tech. I think he was actually trying to refer to middle of the road BCS schools, not crap teams.

It was a shout out. It's what happens when a program that historically doesn't make a lot of noise starts upsetting top 25 teams year in and year out. Anyone that thinks it was at all a diss needs to get some skin.

Skip is clearly a one trick pony just making outlandish claims to get publicity... but his brother Rick makes some of the best food I've had in my life.

$9 ahogada pork sandwich drenched in spicy tomato lime soup is actually worth waiting in line 45 minutes for.

If all three of his restaurants weren't the busiest in the city I'd probably eat there two or three times a week.

ISU has always been the butt of jokes. It's a long, slow process to change the national opinion. I take it as a positive that Bayless was going to the old ISU sucks dig but he and the others had to backtrack.

Should? Every single college football team WOULD lose to the worst NFL team.

You don't say? Any college team would get crushed by any pro team. It wouldn't be close.
