    Chicago Bears

Okay, so I have to admit that I'm fired up about the Bears again. I started taking notice 3 games ago against the Vikes when I finally started to see some flexibility in the offense. The Bears started using a 7-man protection to keep Cutler upright and, for some reason, we were still able to get receivers open sending just 3 downfield. I remained in "show me" mode because the Vikes suck ***, but I still took notice.

They've since won 2 more, with an impressive win at Philly. Kudos to the Mikes, Martz and Tice, but especially Tice because he seems to have found something that works with the O-line. Cutler is one hell of a QB when you keep him upright, and the Eagles didn't touch him. I'm starting to believe that this new-found offense - a well-protected Cutler and Matt Forte - can be just enough to keep this team in games.

The NFC North could be the best division in the NFL (with the AFC North), and both NFC wild cards could come out of the division. If it ended today, that's exactly what would happen, and the Bears have a favorable schedule over the next 6 games. Huge, HUGE game against Detroit this week. NFL football will always be second in my book behind the college game, but it can still get my blood flowing when the Bears are playing good football.

    Bear down!!

    Re: Chicago Bears

Yeah I am pumped too! It seems they finally are starting to get their act together with the O Line but it still needs work. I am happy to see we are still in the running for a wildcard. I agree, the NFC north is the best division right now. I wouldn't mind at all having Green Bay, Chicago, and Detroit all in the playoffs.

    Re: Chicago Bears

What I liked was the Bears pushing the Eagles around. They were hitting hard last week. hope they bring the same intensity this week. Also, Mike Tice should get a promotion. Martz should get walking papers. He has done an amazing job with the OLine.

    Re: Chicago Bears

Their schedule to start the year was brutal. Now its pretty much a downhill run to the playoffs. I still think the offense is doing well despite martz and his system. He doesn't even let cutler audible, hence all the time outs. At least the oline is coming together, when cutler has time he's passing like I've never seen in a bears uniform.

    Re: Chicago Bears

If they can protect the QB (big IF still) and run block the way they have been, they will be tough to beat. And I'm not sure what happened to the defense early in the season but it seems to be back in form.

    Re: Chicago Bears

I hate Martz's offense, especially with a questionable oline. I hope that Angelo comes around to pay Forte, he is a premiere back, especially when you can sub a guy for short yardage.

Keep drafting oline, cb and try a few lbs to get ready for urlachers retirement.
