And by high cost of living they really mean, "Do missorah boosters have enough money to buy players?". And to that I respond, meth is a hell of a drug.

Thing about Missouri is they are in the big 12 so they can recruit in Texas and have a chance at a few of the top kids in the state of Texas and Missouri has got decent talent in their state too. But since they think the move to the SEC will benefit them. But now they won’t be able to recruit Texas as easily cause kids won’t have family to watch them as often.

One thing seems to be for sure, that Missouri won't be able to recruit against the likes of Florida, Alabama, Auburn, LSU... In fact, I would think the move would work against them because now they've opened up a whole new recruiting pipeline to Kansas City and St Louis for these teams. I doubt if it will be the same for Missouri being able to recruit in the current SEC markets. It's all about the TV money. Sad.

Best written aritcle on MU yet. "But there's a reason that they call the trustees of the University of Missouri "curators." They are the people who work at museums, which is the only place you'll find a Tiger trophy in football for the foreseeable future."

"Missouri's athletic budget in 2009-10 was roughly half of the $105 million that Florida spent. The world will spin a lot faster where the Tigers are going, just as it will for the Texas Aggies."

They are joining a cesspool of cheaters. I wish them luck with that.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. They will understand that when they realize they are the new kid on the block that no one in their conference cares about.

They'll be the third "Tigers" team in the SEC...

Since the SEC already had Ole Miss, maybe they can be "New Miss"...

See ya' Mizzou, wouldn't want to be ya'...

Re: Even ESPN thinks Mizzou made a mistake

Winning or not winning is only part of the stupidity on the MU move. They are looking at equal or less conference money and a minimum of 30% increase in team travel cost. Remember that 15 passenger van to send the tennis team to Ames? That will not work for a trip to Florida. Yes you could do it, but tennis players have to go to school too. MU will be flying most of their non-revenue teams everywhere. That isn't going to be cheap. Either will the buyout from the Big 12. Don't forget that the remaining schools in the Big 12 still have the right to sue MU also. Money wise, it was an incredible stupid move.

Re: Even ESPN thinks Mizzou made a mistake

Here's the real issue with Mizzou. Currently Mizzou is experiencing the most success they have had in modern day football. Their fans are showing up and money is increasing because of that success. But really, Mizzou is an afterthought in most of the state. If Mizzou starts getting their brains beat in and recruits and fans lose confidence in Gary Pinkels staff...freaking lookout. How do you think those Mizzou teams of the 90's and early 00's would fare in the SEC? Cause that could happen. Everyone seems to think either Mizzou gets better or stays the same and at least competes. Historically Mizzou is not a great football program. Historically the success Gary Pinkel has had is the exception and not the rule. There is a real chance they slide back...if that happens in the SEC, wow. It won't be pretty.

Their bizarre spread is not going to work in the SEC - at all. They'll have to completely switch their offensive identity to compete.

It won't be pretty for Pinkel or Yost.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
