Friday OT #2: Favorite 16-Bit Video Games (Genesis, SNES)

Talk of SNES RPG's yesterday got me thinking of all the great games that came out during the 16-bit era. I first had the SNES, but later got a Sega Genesis and would say I enjoyed that system more, but they were both amazing systems with loads of games that have become absolute classics. Post your favorite games for either system (pictures as well if possible). I've also put a poll to determine your favorite system. Here are a couple of my favorites to get this kicked off:

SNES - Ninjawarriors - I played this game until my fingers bled. I still play it ocassionally.

Sega Genesis - Streets of Rage 2 - My brother an I played this for hours and hours. The team of Axel and Max was unbeatable!

I loved Mario Kart, NBA Jam, and Zelda A Link to the Past for the SNES. Super Mario World was solid too.

This one was a really hard game to beat (no pun intended), but was also a blast:

Sega Nenesis - Contra Hard Corps (no 30 lives cheat on this one!)

I always loved Blackthorne. Sort of like Prince of Persia, but super dark, and pretty gory.

I don't remember ever being into either. I remember my Nintendo days (Baseball Stars), but from there its a blank until PlayStation for HS/college (EA College Football).

SNES had the majority of better games but there were a handful of Genesis games that were good. I really loved the Road Rash series.

    Altered Beast for Sega.

25th ranked teams get beat down on the road all the time against top 10 teams. Sucks that it happened but it doesn't change that we are somewhere between the 2nd and 6th best team in the conference. -PCHawk

    Chrono Trigger was on SNES

Nothing else beats that. SNES wins. Any other answer is like dividing by zero.
