Can someone list the great play calling Herman had yesterday....

I really question our clock management at the end of the half. We have the ball on our own 5 yard line with 2 min left in the half--and we stop the clock with a pass. Then we nearly lose a fumble trying a pass. Kansas is even stopping the clock with timeouts.

After all the risk, and more than our share of good fortune we arrive at midfield with 30 sec left. We don't even get a Sweet Jesus Mary pass off when the clock runs out.

He may have been instructed to not risk anything, especially since we had the ball to begin the second half.

Rhoads tried to send the team to the locker room but it looked like the refs spotted the ball and rolled the play clock quicker than he thought so they had to bring everyone back for one more play.

Head coach is calling the shots when it comes to clock management.

Did u ever think that this was the choice by CPR?! Rhoads ultimately decides what to do in these situations so its not Hermans fault but good try though.

We scored 13 points against Kansas at home. I think the clock management at the end of the half is the last thing we need to be worried about when it comes to offense

I agree. The biggest problem I saw yesterday was JB missing open guys all the time. On the one throw to lenz he had someone arm wavingly open for at least 15 yards. Hopefully that will come with experience

Peyton Manning would have stunk it up in those swirrling winds yesterday. That was up there with the Colorado in the mid 2000's with the sustained wins and throw a redshirt freshman in there that had never played in those elements. He made some nice passes through the game.

Re: Can someone list the great play calling Herman had yesterday....

Herman's play calling was below par yesterday. Kept trying to run off the right side yesterday and seemed like every time it got stuffed. I realize that Kansas was cheating their secondary up on the left side but come on, we have a 1st team conference player in K.O. on that side.

So we're not going to mention the penalties that stalled that drive? That's cool, but not Herman's fault.

JFC, can we go a weekend without complaining about Herman, Sweet Caroline, or the south endzone project?

Yep. The crown jewel on a stinker of a tenure at ISU. Thanks Tom, that was a true pleasure to watch.

One formation that Herman has used the last two weeks that I really like is the victory formation....if he continues to use this at the end of the games I think we will be just fine
