We're lucky to have Jamie Pollard...

In my view, Iowa State is very fortunate to have an AD the calibur of Jamie Pollard. He has put together a strong plan for our facilities, made bold staff moves and have given us hope for the future of Iowa State athletics. While I'm as frustrated with our early losses as everyone else, you have to give him credit with not taking the easy way out and keeping the status quo with our football coach. Imagine where we'd be right now with the same record and no hope. The stands would have been completely empty and the wheels could have fallen off. I stand by Pollard for his bold moves. He loves Iowa State and I have complete faith in him now and inthe future.

WE need a strong AD no doubt. We have had weak ones and look what happened.

It seems to me that the MBB and FB programs are in good hands. I'm pretty confident that we will get to where we want to go.

I agree and will add Wrestling and WBB.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Maybe we can get Jamie to suit up for the kickoff team.

Too bad JasonB tried out at the NFL camp. We could have used him for rush this year.

I don't think Jamie or Gene would allow him to come back...

along with the volleyball program... after the debaucle of a coach who faked her resume and teams that were pitiful, they are definitely on the upswing as well.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Again, look where we could be right now without Pollard
    1. Wayne Morgan and the mess we were in with grades etc
    2. Greg McDermott, new Iowa Basketball coach
3 Status quo in football. How many season tickets would have sold?
    4. No facilities plan and continue move down against other Big 12 progs
    5. Cael Sanderson as new University of Iowa wrestling coach
    6. No creative plans, no fun interaction with alumni and a malaise in Iowa State sports.
All of this could have been our reality. Thank goodness it's not. Thanks to JP.

We need Mr Ryan Baum and Ellis Hobbs III back... best kickoff and punt coverage we had

Totally agree about having Hobbs back, but not so sure on Baum, he was a great coverage guy but not the best punt returner, sure he could spring one, but he could also cough up a game-changer. I'd rather have Todd Miller!

Definitely blessed to have Pollard, and your points only validate this.......scary to think what might have been.

Re: We're lucky to have Jamie Pollard...

I think most ISU fans are thankful for Pollard (as they should be), but who do we thank for bringing him to ISU? Is it Pres Goeffrey (sp?)? Excuse my ignorance, but that person deserves some major kudos too.
