Thinking back to the years 1999-2001

I am starting to think those years are about as good as it will ever get being a Cyclone fan. The football team went 9-3, and won there bowl game. The men's basketball team won back to back Big 12 titles along, with winning the Big 12 championship one of those years. Not only that they advanced to the Elite 8. The women's basketball team also won a conference title back then. Life was great being a Cyclone fan ! But now it is back to normal. My question is will the Cyclones ever have those glory years again ?

keep the faith man. The best is yet to come! Bball is going to improve (back to back b12 titles would be hard to beat) - but we will improve from that last few years. Volley ball and gymnastics is WAY better now then it was back in 1999. Also, don't forget that wrestling is looking at CHAMPIONSHIPS now! Football has some work to do, but don't give up after 4 games, they'll be better next year, and who knows where they can go in the future.

We know Nebraska hit their forever peak in football in 1993-1997. They are so sad they are not the big deal anymore.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.

Yeah, it is never going to get any better. Turn in your season tickets and while you are at it, please close your account on Cyclone FANatic.

Are you a Hawk fan in hiding ? Pollard set the table to think big, so I am trying to think big, that means we should not be losing to teams like Kent State, UNI, and Toledo. The fans are doing there part now the players and coaches need to do there part. I realize we have a new coach, but I felt we would at least have four wins this year.

By the way, I am also a Cub fan, so I have a right to be frustrated.

Apparently no one in this thread has heard of sarcasm. Allow me to educate:

    sar·casm (sär'kăz'əm)
    n.

    1. A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
    2. A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.
    3. The use of sarcasm.

I can't for the life of me figure out what the Cubs have to do with this...?

That aside, thinking big is what we should be doing. But...I will continue to beat the horse that is DEADER than a DOORNAIL by now, but we have a first year coach with very little talent on the team. To expect a whole bunch from the team is just dumb. I do however think we should be able to expect to punt the ball or cover a kick, but it is what it is.

To summerize, if you don't think it is ever going to get any better, then PLEASE turn in your tickets (if you have any) so someone who gives a rip will be able to attend the games in your place.
