Should be able to put some points up. I am guessing if it doesn't mesh well, there will be some changes. Benefit of having 10-11 deep!

not much to discuss, your lineup will be the starting lineup as long as Babb is healthy

Royce is right; everybody better rebound or we may get crushed on the boards.

Ejim already showed that he can rebound well. White will be able to rebound. Booker should be able to contribute. Rebounding shouldn't be that big a problem.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Re: What does everyone think of the Starting lineup?

So one of the things I heard recently was the Scottie as PG, was not a negative reflection on Tavon or McGee, (although both have some adjusting to do to this level and should see more minutes as year goes on), but it is more that Allen, Babb, and Scottie are too good not to be starting. We are best with the three of them on the floor and of them, Scottie is the most effective at the point.

When McGee or Tavon are at the point, one of our three star guards are on the bench, and so that works well for breathers, but not the majority of the minutes. With Ejim likely to see more time at the 3 this year than last, when we want two bigs, that puts even more pressure on the minutes this year for McGee and Sledge.

Really exited for this season to tip off. It will be fun to watch the rotation evolve as different players gain experience and step up their games. This may be the rockingest Hilton Magic since the early 80's

I don't care who is out there, just find a way to win Cyclones! I have a feeling that numerous players will be playing at different positions/situations when called on by Hoiberg in games. But for the starting 5, these guys are looking to mesh well from the get-go... This team has tremendous talent this year, take it to everyone!

Best take on Scotty being PG I've seen yet. Well done.

Well it appears that it is already a defined issue. From the season preview article on the home page:

REBOUNDING: While coaches and players can’t specifically talk about last Sunday’s “secret scrimmage” against Nebraska, it isn’t difficult to gather information that the Cyclones struggled rebounding against Doc Sadler’s Cornhuskers.
“We definitely learned some things that we have to work on,” said sophomore forward Royce White. “They are some things that we already knew that we needed to work on. I think that we’ve made some great strides since that scrimmage to correct some of those issues.”
With an anticipated starting five of White, Melvin Ejim, Allen, Christopherson and Chris Babb, the Cyclones will be a lot of things this season, but big isn’t one of them.
“We are definitely going to have to gang rebound,” said White. “All five guys will have to rebound.”

I wonder if that also means we'll possibly see some small ball sets with 4-guards this year. Wasn't there talk during the off-season that Babb could play 2-4?

I agree with this. The only kind of teams that should create problems are teams like Nebraska, but those are few and far between

You may have to combine a few years to find the depth we should have this year.

I was a little disappointed that one of the new guys didn't stand out enough to steal some of SC's minutes (not a knock on SC at all, he's solid, I just had high expectations from the new guys) but then i got to thinking that we won't need iron man performances out of our guards, like we did in Freddie's first year here. We have a lot more depth and versatility this year, so there's the potential for lots of player combonations and Scottie's being our most experienced player can fit in a lot of different ways. Honestly, I hope we are able to play at a pace that makes it not matter who is at PG. The only time it will really come into play is when pressed or during the last couple minutes, the rest of the game hopefully we run them ragged.
