    NDSU

NDSU, who is on the Clones' schedule in a couple of years, went in and clobbered Central Michigan (MAC) today. They seem to be doing quite well for their 4th year of 1-AA. I'm glad ISU didn't have them scheduled this year...

I don't understand the point of scheduling a NDSU. They are clearly a very good I-AA team. If we win, recruits and the media say well we should win against cupcakes and if we lose, then all hell breaks loose. What's the point?

    Re: NDSU

I don't understand scheduling this game, either. Either schedule UNI and get the big home crowd, or schedule a complete cupcake. I enjoyed myself a few years ago hammering Indiana State or Tennessee Tech.

Oh well, by the time NDSU rolls through we will be in better shape.

I completely agree with you. Pay more and get a cupcake or play someone that will get you somewhere if you win. NDSU is a top program with a top coach and nearly beat a decent Minnesota team last season..This is not the way to go.

We are the cupcake team for DII and MAC teams.

    Re: NDSU

We have played 4 games this year.
    2 losses to the MAC
1 Loss to 1-AA Gateway Conference team

All 3 losses were lost because of unforced turnovers and bad special teams play. There were some forced, but fumbling fair catches, and snapping the ball over the QB's head is for Games like Bondurant Versus Gilbert.

    Re: NDSU

1-AA teams are an easy payday for D1A hosts since you don't have to do a home & away. These games will always be around. College FB 101.
