    Hayworth Hicks being over-looked?

Does anyone else think Hicks is being over-looked? (Media, Fans, NFL Scouts)

I watched the Tech game again last night and really focused on the O-Line play. Hicks appeared to be just straight up dominate in both the run and pass. Granted the whole o-line did an amazing job, just wanted to give Hicks some credit that he deserves.

Thoughts on his play, recognition, possible draft status?

I think he does get a little overlooked by the media and the casual fans, etc with all the hype of KO but most opposing coaches know they have quite a bit of work to do to beat HH.

He is a very solid guard who could play on Sundays.

I always wonder that too, the guy is an absolute beast. Not sure why people don't talk about him maybe getting a shot in the NFL. Is he too short? Not sure what the hangup is.

HH has been a great lineman for us for a couple years now, surprised he doesn't get more love actually.

I know the referee noticed him during the Texas Tech game.

    Re: Hayworth Hicks being over-looked?

If he is worthy I'm sure he will be noticed. There are enough NFL scouts watching ISU for KO, that will notice if he is a viable NFL target.

Can't imagine he's being entirly overlooked. Scouts out watching KO will certainly also notice Hicks abilities.

    Re: Hayworth Hicks being over-looked?

Not to take anything away from the O-lines dominating performance but I think I remember the announcers commenting on TTU having the smallest D-line in the conference. But is was still great wating our guys maul them.

HH will have a longer and more productive career in the NFL than KO. You can write that down.

The UCONN coach mentioned him as an NFL guy so I think people are aware of his abilities.

    Re: Hayworth Hicks being over-looked?

I don't think Hicks is being overlooked, he just does not have the shear athletic ability of KO. You can tell how much he means to the team by reviewing the UNI game.
