Louisville still in play for B12

Interesting read here. Says Louisville is still very much in play and maybe closer than we all think. Personally I would love them to be added!

No thanks to a 10 team schedule. No way. I'd like 12, or 11 with an 8 team schedule rotation.

Or even better, the Big 12 could go to a 10-team league schedule. Coaches wouldn't like the severity of such a task, but it would greatly enhance the Big 12's television package. More inventory; more quality games.

10 team football schedule is just brutal. I like having 12. Playing against Oklahoma, Okie State, and Texas every season just suck.

I think the more we pluck from the big east the better. wvu is having to sue to get out but if more leave I think they could argue the league was defunct

...then we can add Cincy to complete the B12 Island...and watch the B12 Mainland destroy it.

They will give ND some time to decide before going in on Cincy IMO.

Not sure if this has been linked anywhere, but it shows the lawsuit WVU has pending against the Big East. I would assume that, given the wording of the lawsuit, all other schools in the Big East would be eligible to forgo the 27-month window also if it was decided in favor of WVU.

Here's West Virginia's Lawsuit Against The Big East, Which Is "No Longer A Viable And Competitive Football Conference"

    Yes to Louisville.

No to 10 game conference slate.

Add Louisville and Cincy, and kill the Big East, since they won't relent on WVU's exit.

I'm with Al. Get Louisville and Cincy now. Work it out later.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Re: Louisville still in play for B12

They could bring the Big12 bowl ties down to 6 if they did a 10 game slate.
ISU would need at minimum 4-5 wins in conference each year Just to get to 6 wins. wow. Talk about a death schedule.

I thought 9 was killing us.
I don't think the coaches are going to go for it.....but sounds like they may not have a choice if the offer is good enough.

Whatever.....I really don't see what was wrong with 2 divisions, a CCG and 4 non conference games.
