    Next JTS Renovation

What will the next MAJOR renovation be?
    South Endzone
Maybe LED strips, like the ones at Hilton?

    Any other ideas?

I'm confident that the next major renovation will be the SEZ, but it wont be until after the Big 12 renegotiates Tier 1, at the earliest.

Unless a donor steps up. That would be the lynch pin. This was close to happening before any of this conference realignment stuff, but the lead donor get wet feet at the last second, when the economy tanked.

Source inside the football team staff says "Press box". I asked about the South Endzone and he says that's about 4th or 5th on the list.

Bowling in the south endzone is a must in my opinion. Add seats and boost the fan experience. It would also be nice to see JT get a legit press/media box and possibly more luxury suites. Oh... and whatever it takes to land more big donor$.

Not sure what benefit ISU would see to a new press box.

LED ribbons would be very cool. Completely changed the environment inside of Hilton.

It would be a much more legit press box. Ours is really outdated right now and a feasible option to re-do with the money resources we currently have available.

Not exactly sure. I just know that it is in need of an upgrade/renovation and that it was number 2 on the list (right behind the football offices that they are currently working on).

But what need is there? How often do recruits choose a school based on the press box? What does the press box add to the game environment? I could be wrong, but I have never heard of a shortage of space in our press box, so again, what need is there? Not trying to argue, I have just never heard of a need to increase the size of our press box until you mentioned it.

More suites = more revenue. I would imagine the thinking is that we are going to become big time and will need more space for media too.

I didn't think it would be a priority but I'm not going to oppose it if thats what JP thinks is needed.

    Re: Next JTS Renovation

I might add that the south endzone project is closer to being sooner rather than later. I've seen the blueprints for it and they were actual blueprints rather than mock ups. Included everything from number of sections, number of rows per section, and number of seats per row.

I just think we'll see other things get accomplished first.

I get what you're saying, but sometimes projects get done for purposes other than recruiting. I haven't been in the press box, but from what I hear, it's outdated. Maybe Chris can enlighten us on it.

True, but it seemed like last time we put suites in, we struggeled to filll them all. Is there more demand now for them than there was 3 years ago? You would think if they put in the SEZ, the could add more suites around the concourse on the south and east sides.
