    McAfee has CF flagged...

as a potentially dangerous website. When I go to the forums, it always brings up a red flag page that recommends I not go there, so I have to click on go there anyway. Then, after reading posts for about 5 minutes, McAfee closes the page and says it closed the page to protect my computer. Then I have to restart the page. Any help would be appreciated.

    Re: McAfee has CF flagged...

I also noticed this last night on my home computer. It would tell me that a plug in was causing the page to run slow and then shut it down. It was doing it with Chrome and IE. I ran Firefox in safemode and was good to go (probably because it disabled the site advisor)

This has been going on for weeks. McAfee won't let me access at all from work. I'm accessing CF using TeamViewer (poor man's gotomypc) from my home PC!

Yeah, it's been doing this for a couple of months for me too, just now got frustrated enough to check into it. I keep getting a message that a problem with the website caused IE to shut it down.

Its a free, heavily visited site.

    Re: McAfee has CF flagged...

The red flag screen is on for me at home and at work much of the time. McAfee appears to test once a week until you get the red flag of death. The fact that it now goes across three browser formats means it needs to be fixed soon. I use the nook color and BB sometimes to avoid using a computer for access. The past month has seen ered flag 70% of the time. I think CW has a problem as this is the only site that I visit that has the red flag. Seems the advertising push methods may be probing your computer. I do not see this for Hawkeye Nation, so I wonder if CW should not discuss with McAfee to get an adjustment. Heck, yardbarker is not a problem like this. There is something like redirecting that does not allow a trustworthy certificate.

Download Malwarebytes and install it on your pc. Update periodically when it prompts you to. The stuff is the best PC protection I have found. Definitely worth it.

It doesn't matter. If your employer uses McAfee, this site is flagged as dangerous and you can't access it.

I use Malewarebytes and it does nothing for the WHOA! red flag of McAfee. The flag is still saying the computer certificate is not trustworthy.

I have forwarded this on to our security guy. I know that our site is clean but our history hinders us sometimes. We're on it. Thanks.
