T Gill at KU vs Gene Chizik at ISU

The two years the traitor stayed at Iowa State, his record was 5-19.
The two years Gill is coaching at KU will probably end with a 5-19 record.

I don't follow KU football like some of you might. My question is do you give him a third year or do you get rid of him after '11 or even mid-season this year?

I believe the traitor was even offered an extension and he took it too before escaping to Auburn.

Chizik was much better than Gill. I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone at the end of the year. Kansas has only won one conference game, and that was against a team that is no longer in the conference and is currently at 1-8 for the season. At least Chizk won a couple of conference games and kept us close in some others. Kansas is never close.

The other thing is that Kansas was higher when Gill took over then ISU was when Chizik took over. I didn't think Gill was that good of a coach from the start, a lot of people jumped all over him because of recruiting. As I hope we can see, there is more to football than recruiting.

I guess you are right. Kansas was flying high in the years before Gill took over. Its amazing to see some of the scores Kansas put up this year. I think they have been losing to teams by an average of 34 points. That is just horrible.

which is why as a long-standing ISU fan I am VERY nervous about this game...

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

I just really hope they don't fire him this week. Don't want to go down that road again.

I think KU is just horrible. We will win this one even if we sleepwalked. I do not believe we win by more than two touchdowns. In fact we might even win it by a score.

Just to give you an example of how horrible KU is. I think I saw they posted THREE first downs in ALL FOUR quarters of the Texas game.

They had 46 total yards and -2 rushing v. Texas I don't think it matters if they fire Gill or not. They are in trouble.

Do we really need this kind of vulgarity in a thread title? And what does this have to do with Women's Basketball?

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.

Again, if history repeats itself, all of this makes me highlly concerned about this game. Let's hope that CPR can keep the team focused this week. Forget about OU, that game won't matter without a win at KU.

That's what Iowa thought about Minnesota, and that is what TT thought about ISU. I don't like this train of thought...

I went to college thinking I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

    1. Never predict the record of a perceived "inferior" team to ISU. The fact is that the Cyclones will have to be focused and play well to beat KU. We absolutely need this win and TG knows it. He can throw the kitchen sink at us.

    2. If you're KU you can't and shouldn't fire a guy in his second season.

    3. Firing Gill in such a short time frame would cause a ****storm in which KU is accused of racism.

In 3 years, what games have we lost under Rhoads that just shouldn't have happened? I can't think of any.

Furrence has a history of peeing down his leg in gimme games and pulling off big upsets when not expected to.

Gotta give a Coach 3 years at least. That said, it appears that Turner was a bad hire.
