Could we beat Missouri, Baylor, A&M & Texas with Barnett?

I know this might be a stupid question to some of you, but this needs to be asked. Let's say we had Barnett as our leading man on the field. Could we have beat Baylor, Texas, A&M or Missouri for that matter? I don't think we could have kept all those games close but I think we would win at least one of those four games with a consistent QB in Barnett. This kid played like a veteran. He was calm and extremely comfortable to say the least. Lot of people might take this Tech game as a fluke but its not. Tech is a dangerous team to beat on the road. I don't care if this was their trap game. There is no such game as trap game when you play offensive monsters like Texas Tech.

I wish we made the switch a long time ago.

Do you think its a little too late? Kansas win is very possible with Barnett. I like to think Kansas State will be a win too, but it might be a little too late.

This is Barnett's team! Go Cyclones!!!

They're already like 4 threads on this topic (which is irrelevant anyway).

I don't think so. Missouri was a whole team defeat. Barnett played most of the game against aTm and we didn't get it done. Texas...maybe we play closer, but defense in the first half lacked a bit. I like JB, and going forward I feel good about our team, but I don't think it changes a lot on the losses we suffered. Good win today though! Go State!

I agree. I think we could have won either the Baylor or Texas game. Baylor really isnt good, it seems like. IMO Kansas State is way over rated and we have faster kids than KSU. If KSU can beat Baylor, we sure could have! All we needed is some consistency in our QB. This really sucks that we are finding success this late.

I hope we beat Kansas and Kansas State both. They are both very very beatable.

If you can beat KSU in all facets for two solid quarters, they will give up the win. KSU is really flat at times. They are beatable!

No way to tell. I'm sure if ISU dominated statistically like it did vs. Tech, Baylor would have been a win.

    Texas, perhaps.

I'll put this one out right now, unrelated to QB situation: Baylor may prove to be the most regrettable loss of this season, in retrospect.

Who knows its hard to say. I will say Jantz's turnovers seemed to take us out of those games early on, and the team just didn't seem to have any confidence. Thing is nobody knows how things would have went and it probably isn't fair to speculate. I just hope we can carry over this good play into the Kansas game next week!

one thing to consider, barnett is still very young. maybe he wasn't ready to be the starter before tonight. maybe he wasn't even totally ready tonight.

the coaching staff made it pretty clear in august jantz had the best spring/summer/fall camp

A Kansas win is very possible with CtownCyclone at QB.

Don't get too excited - as CPR has said, the highs are never as high as you think and the lows are never as low as you think.

Re: Could we beat Missouri, Baylor, A&M & Texas with Barnett?

NO ******* way. Even when Jantz wasn't doing good ISU as a team ****** down their legs. The defense looked like **** in all of the games. The o-line was horrible. The receivers couldn't catch a ******* cold! Barnett looked good against aTm but the rest of the team looked like utter ****!
If you look at the whole picture... (I have so many times!) ISU could be 4-4 or 1-8. Take your pick. I'll take 4-4 any day of the week. NOW if you want to get into some serious **** and talk about how ISU would do in the BIG hehe I feel they would be at least 7-1 if not 6-2.
