    ESPN3 vs. ESPN Full Court

Has anyone used ESPN3 to watch Cyclone MBB games in the past? I'm in the Twin Cities and have always subscribed to ESPN Full Court but it sounds like many of the games might be available on ESPN3 (I have Comcast Internet so I'll have access). I wouldn't mind saving a few bucks by not subscribing to Full Court.

Also, what's the viewing experience like on ESPN3? Is it live streaming only? Can you watch from the beginning at any time? So say if the game started at 7pm and I didn't log on until 7:30pm could I watch from the beginning of the game or only from that point forward? Does it allow you to pause?

    Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

I've watched espn3 the last couple of years. Pretty good. Usually a lot of the isu games are on espn3. I was wondering when they would release the official entire schedule.

If you have xbox live, They have an app. for espn that allows you to watch the games on your tv w/o having to hook up your comp.

Good quality and you can replay/rewatch any game you want. The quality all depends on the speed of your internet tho.

Re: ESPN3 vs. ESPN Full Court

I've always had success watching ESPN3 as far connection/picture quality. IIRC, you cannot pause/rewind/etc. during live games, but you can if you watch the replay, which is usually available about an hour after the game ends. If you join a game late, but still while it is live, I do not think you can watch from the beginning. If you have decent internet, and use your TV as a monitor, you should not notice significant difference in the picture quality (ESPN3 won't be true HD, but usually SD quality or better).

Also in Minneapolis and was able to watch almost all the games on ESPN3 last year. But I think having Comcast internet may have added a few more (in case you don't have them).

Re: ESPN3 vs. ESPN Full Court

I have ESPN3. I probably would have dropped it but when I repackaged my Net/TV package, it was not extra to keep it (unlike almost every other "extra" in my cable service).

Just about every time I use 3, I get booted out once during a game. Overall, though, I'm happy with it, because since I live outside the ISU regional area and also don't have ESPNU on my cable package, I get access to a lot more Iowa State basketball games each season (also get a couple more football games per season).

I have espn3 but I am considering full court. My Internet is fast, but I was never happy with the quality of the stream. I want the real HD goodness.

My experience has been positive. As others have stated, you can view the schedule ahead of time and if the game is not on espn3.com, you can attempt to make other plans (friends, bars, etc) to view. Any games that are on, are available for replay later (up to 30 days). Living with 3 women who aren't into basketball (OK, it is my wife and 2 daughters) I just watch most of the games on the computer without evening hooking up to a TV.

I didn't get fullcourt last year, but the year before all the channels were in sd.

Any game that is HD broadcast is in HD on ESPN3. I watch through xBox and it is very good quality with no buffering. Full Court was in SD last I had it also.

Re: ESPN3 vs. ESPN Full Court

    Oh, also, question:

Does anyone know if our early games in the first couple weeks will be on ESPN3/ESPN fullcourt? I can't remember from last year. They're slated to appear on Mediacom, but do these services pick up these weak non-conference games?
