    Friday Beer...

It seems I have Paulaner Hefe-Weissen and Bellheimer Silber Pils and one Spaten Oktoberfest. Where should I start?

The Spaten sounds the best to me.

Spatens Oktoberfest didnt hit the spot for me the way that regular Spaten does. I've been looking forward to getting home tonight and cracking open a Two Women from New Glarus. I've thought about taking the 20 minute trip into Wisconsin to grab some more. After trying some of their other brews, their "flagship" beer, Spotted Cow, seems pretty small in the taste department. They really make some quality beers up there. Smoked Rye...ooooooh baby is it good.

^ Try their Raspberry Tart. It's definitely different and more of a desert type beer, but it's a nice change of pace. I really enjoyed it.

    Re: Friday Beer...

I was never crazy about anything Spaten until I moved over here, same with the Paulaner. That said, my go to beer is the Bellheimer, second choice is Bitburger.

Probably some Old Milwaukee tonight. And by some, I mean way too much.

    Re: Friday Beer...

Surly just released a couple fresh batches of "Wet" and "Darkness" last week.

Pretty expensive beer, but unbelievably tasty!

Not trying to rub it in......but......it's soooooo good! Roasty, a perfect amount of toffee sweetness, a hint of hops and super smooth. The 9.8% abv is just icing on the cake. ;)

Kind of a random thought, but I think I would drink a lot more black coffee if it tasted exactly like Darkness.

    Re: Friday Beer...

Surly Wet Hop is the best beer I've ever drank in my life.

I've got some Crooked Tree IPAs in the fridge that sound pretty tasty.
