Scott got named first team by that website. Sorry for the bad thread title. I couldn't think of anything.

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

Wow.....he hasn't been the one getting preseason accolades, but if he can get more open shots with better teammates, he could put up some serious points.

Yeah, I think he could have a great year if he stays healthy, but first team would surprise me, not that I'd complain.

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

I would maybe expect Royce, but Scotty being on this really surprised me.

Maybe when post season rankings come out, Scotty and Royce will both be on first team...

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

His sophomore year, I thought he was alright, but I definitely wasn't blown away by his play, but noticed improvement from when he began until when the season was over, and it was rewarded by having him start the final 15 games of the season.

All last offseason, Hoiberg said Christopherson was always in the gym improving his shot. I really didn't care, I figured Hoiberg was just saying that because it was the coach thing to say. I was wrong. I was blown away by Christophersons play through the majority of games last year (he did have a few bad games, but overall, he was impressive)

I haven't heard much about him this offseason, but that's probably because all the attention has gone to the trans4. Hopefully Scotty spent quality time this offseason in the gym and can have an even better shot this year.

He hurt his arm right before the Kansas home game, too, I think.

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

Scotty may benefit the most with the influx of players. He'll play less minutes but be more productive. There were times last year he had open looks but missed them because he was tired from playing practically the whole game.

Depth is going to help him a lot. As is the presence of White down low, along with his handling and passing ability to kick it out to the open three point shooters.

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

If Scotty improves as much this year as he did last year than 1st team isn't out of the question. The problem is it is hard to improve that much. His shot is sweet and I don't see that improving much. If he can create a little more space for himself or make better cuts in the lane along with improving his D than he'll certainly be up at the top of the guards in the Big 12 this year.

I'm in shock, but not because I don't think he deserves some accolades. He's a very, very good player, and should be deadly with less defensive attention this year.

    Re: Scott Christopherson-1st team

If Scotty is playing PG his numbers might go down. I hope not. He is a Cyclone all-time great. I love watching him shoot the ball.
