    Motorcycle racing

I know it's probably not a sport that a lot of people follow but I do and today was a horrible day. One of the best up and coming riders (24yo) was killed today. He was ran over by the GOAT in motorcycle racing.

    RIP Marco Simoncelli.

I think some are getting a little ahead of themselves. So far CPR has done a pretty good job for his first year. If we win 3 games this year will everyone feel the same way? I hope we go undefeated and CPR has a ton of job offers but I'd like to give him a few years at the helm before I decide how great of coach he is.

    Re: Motorcycle racing

As soon as it happened and I saw the helmet rolling away I knew it was going to bad news. I've seen 100's of on track crashes including people get run over and I have never seen a helmet come off before. I feel bad for Colin and Valentino but there was nothing they could do. It looked like Rossi crossed himself and was probably saying a prayer as soon as he got control of his bike so he knew it was bad right away.

    Very sad day indeed.

    Exactly that.

I saw the replay of it (heard he low sided and was hit) but had to find a video or something else to tell me how he passed away. Granted anything is possible when racing, but just tough to hear.

Helmet I am sure did what it was supposed too, there are some things you can not test for. If it was a issue with the helmet (strap failure or something) I would hope it gets looked into, but from the looks of the crash, I am not sure what more you can do..

RIP. Makes me think about my motorcycle and dirt bike hobbies a lil harder when I see anything related to riding...

I went to college thinking I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
