The fourth quarter against Northern Iowa....

....was the last time, from what I can tell, that there has been offensive holding called against an ISU opponent.

Draw from that what you will.

Our D-line isn't putting much pressure on the opposing teams' O-line.

Even though our dline is completely undersized and outmatched there still probably should have been at least a couple calls during that time.

Other teams can push us around without holding?

It's not that our opponents are very well disciplined, our team just gives them no reason whatsoever to break discipline.

The only reason why an offensive lineman holds is because a defensive player is about to kill his QB. No defensive pressure = no offensive holding.

The only two reasons why a defender would interfere with a pass is because either he got flat out beat and is preventing a TD or mistimed the pass and hit the receiver early. No reason to interfere when our receivers don't beat the defenders downfield.

There is a Big 12 officials alliance out there that all officials must screw ISU any chance they get.

Yes, I agree, we aren't the 85 beats out there. And yes, you hold when you get beat or are out of position. But you blanket statement means our d-line hasn't beaten an opposing o-line once since UNI?

Funny because it seemed like we did have two sacks yesterday against a team that has (according to the broadcast) only given up 3 sacks all year prior. So one would think there was at least some reason for the opponents o-line to hold us.

they say that holding can be called on every play. it must just be a coincidence that we've gone 500 straight plays without one.
