    Excel--Can you automatically....?

Is it possible to set up something in Excel to automatically move data between different tabs on an Excel spreadsheet?

Thanks. My search in Excel is getting strange results.

You might be able to make something in VBA to do it for you.

Pretty sure you can. I'd think you'd just put =, then click the cell from the other sheet.

    or record a macro....

Be a little more specific, are you trying to move whole sheets or only a couple values.

    Just one column, really.

Just part of keeping track of scores. I made separate tabs for each separate part of their score. What I'd like to do is to have the tabulated score for each student import over to the first tab, which keeps track of the overall score.

On our excel estimating program, I set up a separate page to input customer names and addresses, and then did the =cell to automatically transfer that to all of the worksheets/pay sheets in the other tabs.

=TabName!A1 should give you what you're looking for.

If I understand you correctly, should be able to do it like it was on the same sheet. This can be done by clicking on the tab and selecting the cell you want or by doing the exclamation point method mentioned above. The do the copy formula/drag down thing to avoid the repetitive nature of it. I hope this helps

I'm living on the copy/drag formula thing. That would just be a mind-numbing death to do this thing without it.

I am living my spreadsheet dream tonight!

Yes, just treat the cells in the other tab as if they were on the same page.

Excel can probably cook you dinner if you know the right formula...
