    As expected Iverson gone....

He committed this afternoon to Minnesota....

Heard Trent Lockett was at the game saturday and we've offered him a 2009 scholly.....

Still thinking our 2009 and 2010 classes are going to be special.....We need to get to the tourney and lets aim high say the sweet 16 or something like that which excites these 4-5 star guys to pull the trigger for us....

From everything i've heard Barnes from Ames is the real deal....in the scrimmages he's been the best player on the floor - he's a sophmore in HS, we need to get him locked up....i can't believe we havent offered him yet, maybe we have and its not be published....

Our b-ball team is on the right track, i think Gmac is showing he can recruit at this level and they definately can judge talent, as soon as its reported that were after someone it seems the UNC, Kansas, Floridas also come calling.....i only wish Tubby hadn't come up north.....it would be too easy....

Tubby can't recruit. He may get a few here and there but look at Kentucky. They were losing recruits left and right. That is why he resigned and came to Minn.

Tubby is a turd burglar. I really have never liked that guy and loved when Kentucky got beat. Too bad we have to compete with him. Maybe we can knock his Gopher team on its behind.

Tubby's coaching ability will stake is claim in Minnesota. If he fizzles in the first two years, with no signs in improvement they will eat him alive up there. That's what I'm hoping for, then the gates from the cities will flow south to Ames. I think those around the country with real basketball IQ know what we have in Ames. I can't wait to see how the next few years play-out.

Unfortunately, Minny does not seem like a good fit for Tubby. Like a Callahan and UNL.

    Re: As expected Iverson gone....

One thing that Tubby was criticized heavily for at Kentucky was that he refused to go after the "one and done" phenom freshmen, choosing to go after solid four year players instead...his recruiting philosiphy should work much better at a place like Minnesota as opposed to Kentucky, seeing as Minnesota is a program looking for consistant NCAA appearances as opposed to winning national titles...not to mention his name alone and reputation will earn him points recruiting the midwest.
