If A Player Hasn't Practiced In Two Weeks ....

    Why are they starting??

Are so short-handed a healthy second-teamer can't beat out a dude with a broken arm and bruised chest?

Not when that guy with a broken arm and bruised chest is Jake Knott. I have a feeling even if coaches tried holding him off the field, Knott wouldn't allow it.

Because they might still be the best option. A player not practicing but still starting is very common in every sport all the way down to the high school level. Especially since this was supposed to be a game that we had a shot in.

go romy!!!! knott not practicing for 2 weeks is an excuse. his legs are fine, therefore he will be where he needs to be when he is in the game. the entire d sucked today. and last week. and kinda the week before. why even mention that knott hasnt practiced in 2 weeks? if he had practiced, would we have won? no!

Should the coaches allow him to hurt the team because he likes to play football?

Agree; he's a warrior, with attitude, but I hope he can heal his body so he can play at 100% and we can get somebody who steps up and plays like Jake.

If he was hurting the team I believe they would have pulled him, but in the grand scheme of things I don't believe he was a hindrance and no one coming of the bench would have done a better job overall.

I find that nearly impossible, but sadly, probably true.

Because we are Iowa State and have zero depth. I thought that was a pretty well established fact about any Iowa State athletic team ever.
