Re: Jake Knott unbelievable - Ubben ESPN

Wow, I saw someone mention that on another thread about him popping in his shoulder but I thought it was a joke! How was he able to stand the pain?
My mom did that a few years ago after being thrown off a horse and it was not a fun ride driving her to the hospital! I can't imagine popping it back in on your own! Of course, she fractured her shoulder as well so maybe that contributed to the enormous amount of pain she appeared to be in.

Wow. Glad he's on our team!

Yeah, I'm almost positive this is the first time Cyclone Fanatic has been cited by ESPN in any capacity.

Ubbs has consistently given JK props this year which basically proves that Ubben actually does his job unlike his predecessor.

I'm pretty sure it happened one other time during the preseason. But, either way, it certainly doesn't happen a lot.

Re: Jake Knott unbelievable - Ubben ESPN

I love Knott and that dude is tough as nails, but I do worry about how this will affect the rest of his season.

I'm not a doctor, but I do know that this can cause significant damage if it keeps happening and if he keeps popping it back in place on his own. I'd put $$ on shoulder surgery in Jake's future......hopefully he makes it through the season.

Knott is definitely 'old school,' no whining, no special treatment. This kid is a stud. Hopefully he will still have something left of his body, so we can watch him play on Sundays.

Re: Jake Knott unbelievable - Ubben ESPN

Rhoads is going to have to make a decision some time to hold him out of a game if he gets hurt. He may even have to remove him from the field so he doesn't try to go back out. Maybe not for this injury, but if he ever gets hurt worse, or still is having shoulder issues next week it may have to happen.

Re: Jake Knott unbelievable - Ubben ESPN

Sounds like CF is a legit news service now - quoted by Ubben, get some traffic headed this directions!

And I agree with those who are worried about him reinjuring it in the future. It gets easier to dislocate/sublex the joint when you've already done it once and don't let it heal properly. Fair warning - it's going to happen again this season. Hopefully it's not bad when it does happen.

They might have to pull out the old "hide his helmet" trick.

*edit* on second thought, that might not work and cause more harm than good.

I'm thinking stuff like what the A-Team had to do to B.A. to get him on a plane. Except they will be doing it to keep Knott off the field.
