    Iowa's 2 wins in the Bottom 10

It was funny to see Syracuse and Northern Illinois in ESPNs bottom 8 and 9 after they fell to 0-3. Iowa has some high quality wins. and sounds like " they are going to smoke " wisconsin this weekend...

ISU really has a high quality win in that case right?

Since Iowa hasn't beaten anybody, and therefore are nobody, then who has ISU beaten that makes you confident that your team is improving?

I consider a record of 1-2 to be an improvement over a record of 0-2. Therefore I have confidence the team is improving.

I never said i was impressed with the win, and alot of the players weren't either. they know they can do better. However it furthers the fact that Iowa sucks.... sorry

    This is coach speak...but...

The Iowa game has come and gone. We won...period.

We have Toledo this week, yet if you look around - you'd think we're playing Iowa again (and go to the Iowa boards, you'd think they believe they have ISU again Saturday).

We don't see Iowa on the football field for another 360ish days.

    NEXT!

Great question. See ISU lost to a MAC team and then to a I-AA team in consecutive weeks then turns around and beats a Big 10 team that is supposed to be in the top 1/2 of the conference...I'm not sure what you'd call that, but I would call that improvement and progress.

Re: Iowa's 2 wins in the Bottom 10

What is better then that is UNI plays Drake this weekend. If Drake pulls the upset and beats UNI, then here is the heirarchy of State of Iowa college football teams.

    1. Drake Bulldogs
    2. UNI Panthers
    3. ISU Cyclones
last and definitely also LEAST. EIU

Even though it would have been great to have ISU higher, it is absolutely positively fantisimo to see the real bottom dwellers resting right where they belong.

But the point of the original post was that Iowa sucks.

I'm just trying to understand here. The past 4 days on this board have been 50% posts about how great the win last weekend was, yet it was a win against an opponent that is terrible.

I guess if Iowa is that bad, it's like ISU fans are celebrating over beating Buffalo or something.

So, either Iowa is decent, or Iowa is bad and ISU isn't much better than they have been.

I don't dump on ISU athletics. Review my posts. What I do is try to balance some of the obvious hypocrisy that I see.

We both suck. ISU is aiming to improve and thats what they did to win this game. It could have gone either way, but we stuck it out. Lets move on and improve for the next game.

It is definitely that Iowa is that bad, mainly because 95% of Iowa fans think they are the shoe-in for the BIG 11 Conference title this year and also a top 25 of all football program historically when in reality, they might make a bowl game and they are, as Jon Miller said so well yesterday, about 60th among all Division 1 programs.
