KSU threw 16 passes and handled MU

They rushed 54 times and controlled the clock. Time of possession was 38 to 22 KSU. Klein's scrambling gave MU's defense big problems. He and Jantz are similar players with Jantz being more elusize and a better passer. We are set up personnel-wise to give MU all they can handle.

KSU also beat Miami and Baylor.

They easily could have lost both of those games and their home opener. Miami was within an inch of winning and Griffin killed Baylor with a late interception. KSU scored a TD in the last minute to beat Eastern Kentucky at home 10-7. KSU is good, but they have been very fortunate.

Re: KSU threw 16 passes and handled MU

KSU has a much better running attack. I like James White and he has good numbers, but in general the running game has not been consistant enough to make first down and win games. There have been way to many tackles behind the line or 1 to 2 yard gains. Not sure what the answer is, but teams are crowding the LOS and daring ISU to throw, especially on first down. Some of this is on the OL and some of it is on the coaches. It was too bad the team got so far behind at Baylor. White really could have used a few more touches.

Re: KSU threw 16 passes and handled MU

Missouri is probably the 2nd most winnable conference game on our schedule. To go bowling we've gotta win 3 of 'em essentially making this a must-win.

It will come down to our offensive line, no question

Well, ISU could be winless and has been very fortunate to get three wins.

I think that after Kansas and Texas Tech the Missouri game is the most winnable left on the schedule but it is an away game and Missouri is going to be hungry for a win.

I'd say it's a tossup on both of those. Stats-wise, Klein actually appears to be a little better in the passing dept - higher comp %, higher att/INT, similar yards/attempt, higher QB rating.

I wouldn't call it much better. They only averaged 3.2 ypc against MU. What I would agree with is our habit of negative yard or zero gain runs, which makes us predictable. KSU is usually productive on all of their downs.

They also had a qb who has to take a pounding every week.

Three words... strength of schedule. Jantz has faced much better defenses than Klein. For those who have seen Klein throw... they know what I'm talking about. Jantz is clearly a better passer, even with his inconsistencies.

But they didn't. KSU is a solid football team that is getting better each week.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

This is the big diff between KSU and ISU.

KSU is a good football team, you bring up barely beating Eastern Kentucky and Miami..We barely beat UNI, Iowa, and UCONN, all three of those teams are not very good, especially UCONN...so yeah I'd say KSU is the better team by far they also have one of the best RB's in the country
