    Snyder's recruiting formula

Rely heavily on JUCO's and transfers. He's done it his whole career. It gives the appearance of instability, but he makes it work. He knows he can't compete for the top tier high school talent. He builds his teams around the non qualifiers and the disgruntled. He reloads every year with these players, on both sides of the ball.

It's nice to build a foundation with high school kids. But, I'm not sure that we will ever get over the hump, if that's the plan. There is just too much competition to consistently land enough of them. I think we need to follow Snyder's lead. There is no reason we can't have similar success to his program.

We need more of them. A lot more. Especially on defense. I'm beginning to think this is the only way for us. Obviously, you don't abandon high school recruiting. Your main focus is on the JUCO's and transfers. We'll miss on some of them, of course. But, the rate of miss is probably no greater than it is with the high school kid.

Snyder is brilliant, it is in our best interest that he retires again because they sucked those few years he was gone.

Lets please not act like KSU is good again. They are on the same level as us. They match up better with Baylor than we did, but we still could've beaten Baylor as well.

We are on the same level as Texas, Missouri, Baylor, Texas Tech, and KSU. Now if you wanted to talk about going to a more disciplined team like KSU, I would agree with you.

    Re: Snyder's recruiting formula

We are every bit as good as K State. Difference is coaching. K State is freaking disciplined. I watched most of their game yesterday. I did not see one turnover or penalty in that time. The players werent over gitty (jumping offsides or celebrating touchdows at the 5 yard line). They attack their opponents weakness (Mizzou is beyond bad on the edges. Klein ran zone reads and option all day on Mizzou with a less than stellar oline while ISU runs at will most of the night but in at least 2 series last night we went 3 and out and did not run the ball at all). Rhoads still has learning to do.

You apparently did not watch the same game I did.

Baylor outscored us 49-26, while committing numerous turnovers.

In plain English, it could have been even worse.

The game was not as close as the final score indicated, and the final score was not close at all.

I'm gonna puke. I agree completely with UNIGuy4Cy.

Whoever said the game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated is partially right. Yes they could've scored on the drives they turned it over on, but we gave them 3 first downs jumping offsides on 3rd downs on different possessions.

Kansas State is a better team than Iowa State because they play within themselves and don't shoot themselves constantly. Iowa State is a bad football team right now because we don't play within ourselves because we can't go without shooting ourselves. Kansas State does what they know. We...well, I don't know what the hell we're doing half the time.

    42-26 is being very generous.

Not sure how you think the final score was closer than it should have been when the officials stole two possessions from ISU. It's not even debatable.

ISU is a better school than KSU. It really hurts BU in JUCO recruiting that we don't allow any D's to transfer in...ISU have the same problem?

Snyder can't even remember who KSU played this week.
