    Friday Beer Thread

Just found out Left Hand Brewery has released its Milk Stout on nitro.... curious to see how this turns out. Picking up a sixer after work.

Are you going to pair it with Milk Steak?

I work tomorrow, and no drinky tonight, but I'm planning on drinking a Stone Arrogant Bastard or two during the game. Because I am an Arrogant Bastard.

A friend brought down 2-4 packs of Surly Furious last weekend from Minneapolis. Saved it from my tailgate and plan on enjoying a few this weekend!

Nice - I had the nitro and cask versions of the milk stout at the left hand brewery labor day weekend. We were in Boulder for a wedding and were spoiled with great beer and great food all weekend.

    Re: Friday Beer Thread

I picked up a bottle of Southern Tier Pumking last night. Looking forward to trying it later.

I also found out today about a new brewery that recently opened up in St. Louis Park. It's called Steel Toe Brewing. I might have to pick up a growler from them sometime too.

    Steel Toe Brewing

    Thanks god for beer!! :)

Hopefully you'll be able to get it in the great state of Iowa after Surly gets rolling with their new brewery, but it'll prob be a couple years......

    2.7.11 ォ Surly Brewers Blog

Edit: BTW, the blog post above is from February, so I thought I should also point out that Surly got the MN legislature to change the law to allow them to have their brewery and restaurant in the same location. This new project is definitely a go and they are working with a firm to figure out the best location in the Twin Cities area. The town I live in (Chaska) is lobbying pretty hard for Surly to come here and I really hope it happens for very selfish reasons. With that said, I think they want a spot closer to downtown Mpls. or St. Paul.

Anyone else here not fond of fall beers? The other seasonal beers I like...but fall beer just doesn't do it for me. Strange...I do like the winter versions...
