    Cincinnati

I don't know if any of you have been to Cincinnati but it truly is a **** - hole.

    • Take one step outside of the main campus area and there are hookers, drug dealers, and bums. You might think I'm over exaggerating but I'm really not.

    • Nippert Stadium. Have you seen this place? I've been there during a game ONCE and never ever want to go back again. It definitely had a low-key feel to it. With a stadium capacity barely over 30k, they should play all their games down the block at Riverfront Stadium if they get into the B12. You can only find angle shots of the stadium for a reason.

    • They will be uncompetitive at sports besides Volleyball and Basketball (Football they would be bottom of the barrel year after year)

The only reason they would be good? TV Revenue.

    How much less?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

    Re: Cincinnati

Went to Cincy this year for a wedding and my expectations for the city were exceeded. Although I'll admit we were in nicer parts of the city and my expectations were pretty low to start with.

I think Nippert Stadium looks sweet. It's one of the oldest in the game, and it's right on campus. Looks like a really unique atmosphere to me.

I say Louisville, BYU, and or West Virginia first. If not, then maybe we will consider Cincinnati.

Spot on. Very bad area right next to campus. Students call the small convenience store next to campus the Stab 'n Grab.

    Winning cures all.

    Re: Cincinnati

Which direction of campus is bad?

I was looking around online, and it looks like there's a nicer bar/restaurant district east of the campus where people congregate before games.

EDIT: Never mind. Looked it at on Google Earth. Not exactly "nicer" but not that dumpy. Sort of middle of the road average for a large city.

    Re: Cincinnati

My first choice for the next team in is by far Louisville. Brand new basketball arena with passionate fanbase and their football stadium is fairly new with Papa John's $$$ supporting it.

Also not that anyone probably cares that much but they have a good Women's Basketball program and at times baseball program as well.

That is the only nice side, and there is a reason why people congregate on that side. The South and West sides are the worst. North isn't terrible because of the park (Burnett Woods)

Didn't say the east side of Cleveland wasn't a ****-hole.... because you don't even want to roll your windows down on that side!

Cincinnati is not a bad football team by any means. They were really good a couple of years ago, and are still solid. Far from a W.
