Running this year vs last year.

I have gotten into many ******* matches with one of my Iowa buddies before the season started and I honestly thought that our running offense would be better than last years. I still think we are after the few games from this year. I feel as though we may not have one great player like A-Rob, but I feel the two or three that we use are producing more this year.
PS- I told him leading up to the game that we were going to be a lot better and he thought we were going to be worse. Guess who was right on that one. I also think that some ball control will be our best way to victory on Saturday.

    What does everyone else think?

IMO, James White is pretty close to ARob in what he can do. Shontrelle is different but also a good runner. I feel fine with our running game. I mean UT was a pretty good rush defense and we did some nice things there. If Steele gets it together a little, that will just make it better.

    Or so I have read.

I think we are better, but ARob was also great when healthy, which he rarely was. It's nice to have a few options, and I love our backs that we have this year.

I think we are better, this White kid i oing some nice things, is Shontrelle, plus Steeles ability to escape obviously is better than Arnaud. No offense Austen.

Two RBs averaging 4+ YPC is fantastic.

Re: Running this year vs last year.

Our running game has been solid since Herman has been here, its solid again this year. Im much more concerned with our passing game being consistent. IMO as long as we have some threat through the air our ground game will have sucess against almost anyone we play.
