I was looking for an inexpensive tablet for traveling. Don't want an Ipad, just something that can hook up to the intermet through wi-fi with a decent sized screen. The Nook looks pretty nice, but I don't know much about it. Any suggestions? I am not looking for anything high end.
whatever you do don't get a Velocity Cruz Reader. I bought one for $69 thinking it would be okay just for surfing the web, checking email, etc... Biggest piece of crap ever. The touchscreen is almost unusable. I guess you get what you pay for.
I'm thinking about returning it and getting a Kindle Fire. Seems pretty decent for $200
I have a nook color. It hooks easily into internet on road. I use it at home for getting into CF when the McAfee certicate says bad stuff (which has been most of the last three weeks). It is easy to type out messages. The books can be read in color. One cent sale even sold refurbished ones for $160 last week.

I've got one and I like it. They're pretty powerful as you can watch most youtube videos without any lagging or buffering. Only thing I cant do on it is set my fantasy football line up on yahoo. If I would change to the classic view it probably would work I just havent tried it.
