    punt protection

With all the turnovers, penalties, and injuries, I am also concerned about the punt protection. The last punt at Ucon looked like it was partially blocked and now the big one against Texas. Have opposing coaches spotted a weakness?

Part of the problem is how long it takes kirby to kick it.

    Re: punt protection

I don't remember the UConn punt specifically, but Texas was sending everybody on atleast 2 of the 3 punts. Kirby did fine the first punt, but he just took too long on the one that was blocked.

    Re: punt protection

I specifically looked at that play on DVR last night. On the left side a Texas player lined up to rush from the end and #37 from ISU lined up to defend him. Then as soon as the ball was hiked #37 went straight to block the guy to his right who was already being blocked and left the Texas defender with a straight shot at our punter unblocked.
