What we will learn Saturday Night.

Looking ahead to Toledo, what will the outcome of the game mean for our team.

A big win (more then 20 points) and I believe we will have the ball rolling. It will show that the coaches and players were able to get focused and not celebrate the Iowa win too long. It will build my excitement even more for this season, let alone the future.

A decent win (10-20 points) It will be good to get another win and some confidence heading into the Big 12. Shows we are going in the right direction.

Close win (less then 10 points). A win is a win, but given the opp. I don't know what it will mean for showing what the rest of the season will be like. It might hint at a small hangover from the Iowa game. I will gladly take it though.

Any loss. I believe a loss will be a hard hit to this season's team. Especially with everybody knowing what the team is capable of and producing less. Could lead to speculation of the team not focusing after beating Iowa, I sure hope not and do not see it with the new staff.

I can't wait to be starting my Saturday night off around my computer!!

The Toledo game is now a very big game. We have to win this to keep the momentum going and our confidence up. If we lose, which I think is a very distinct possibility, we're almost back to where we were before the EIU win, IMHO.

Can't lose that game, I agree it takes us back down to the level we were before the Iowa game - if not lower. It would just scream (and not just to Iowa fans, but to Cyclone fans as well) that the Iowa game was a fluke.

We can't lose to an 0-3 football team that is giving up tons of yards - even if it is on the road. It just can't happen.

Re: What we will learn Saturday Night.

I'm really nervous about this game. Everyone's riding high from the first win of the season last Saturday, and ISU looked good in that game and showed major improvement from the first two games. But this is the first road game of the season (granted, against a floundering opponent). I just hope the players can keep the intensity up in a hostile enviroment and avoid looking ahead to Nebraska.

    Prediction: ISU 91, Toledo 3

IMO, this game is similiar to the Army game of a couple of years ago. We played a team we should have dominated after a beatdown of the Hoax(Hawks). We escaped by the skin of our teeth.

Re: What we will learn Saturday Night.

    What dreams are made of.

If we beat Toledo, we then may beat Kansas State and Colorado, and, if we are lucky, Missouri, and either Kansas or even Texas. Looking for 4 and maybe 6 wins if we do not backtrack. Can you spell Shreveport or Poulan?

And we may end up playing 10 bowl or playoff teams.

If we end up with 5 conference wins, I'll wear a skirt to work like that guy on the channel 8 news.

Re: What we will learn Saturday Night.

i highly doubt it, but does anyone know if this game is going to be on TV, like Fox Sports ArmPit of the US or something? I am going to be in Minneapolis with some Hawk fans and I would hate to have to watch Iowa on ABC and get updates from the bottom line of ESPN, but it looks like thats how its going to happen.

You can purchase it from CloneZone for $9, but it's not on broadcast TV
