Time to have a short memory.

Some of you guys need to move on, I'm sure the team already has. Yeah we didn't play great Sat. Yes we need to correct some things, but overall I liked what I saw against a Texas team that is "back". My friend and I agreed that we would have probably won if it weren't for the turnovers (which are correctable) and the stupid penalties (which are correctable). I've been a Cyclone fan for a long time and the team that we have right now is one of the best I have seen. Be excited for the next game and move on already. It annoys me that people are getting there panties in so much of a bunch that they have resorted to sending JP emails. TIME TO GO BEAT BAYLOR!

There is no way we will beat Baylor. I will be surprised if we don't lose by 20 or more.

Re: Time to have a short memory.

Bottom line, we can't continue to turn the ball over 3 times each game, especially in the first quarter. Big 12 offenses will murder us if we keep this up. Texas could have been up on us 28-0, but our defense made enough plays to keep it to 13-0. More experienced offenses -- which Baylor's is -- will really make us pay.

Baylor's defense is not that great, so IF we can cut down on the turnovers and stupid penalties, there's an opportunity for us to score some points and keep the game competitive.

I want to see a steady dose of James White and Shontrelle Johnson to chew up yards and clock and keep RGIII and Kendall Wright on the sideline. And let's give Steele some short passes to get him in a rhythm offensively -- his picks against UConn and Texas came when he tried to force his first few throws that were 15-20 yards downfield. Against Iowa, he had some easy short passes on our first drive to get some cake first downs. Let's try some more of that.

Thats the attitude to have. We are 3-1. Only 3 more wins tell we get in a bowl. Worlds not over yet.

Yeah dude, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't ever win another game.

Calm down. Baylor is not good. They lost to KState. If we can clean up turnovers and penalties, then we can beat them easily.

Re: Time to have a short memory.

We shoot ourselves in the foot several times in an embarassing loss to Texas for our first loss of the season and we get threads ranging from "No bowl projection for ISU" to the now infamous "emails to JP/Monday Meltdown of 2011" fiasco?! Jeezus people! What's gonna happen if we lose to Baylor; show up at JP's front door with pitchforks, machettes and flaming torches?

We are a 3-1 football team! Don't look back at our other three previous games and say we barely got by, that we could be 0-3 (now 0-4) instead. Last time I checked, Baylor is our next opponent and the score will be 0-0 when we take the field and start anew. Get over it!

Re: Time to have a short memory.

Perhaps a bigger concern is our inability to intercept passes. The best we can do appears to be knock them down or make the tackle.

Perhaps a bigger concern is our tacklking is not causing fumbles. We are tackling, but we do not shake the ball loose.

YES! Time to focus on Baylor. I think we stand a decent shot at beating them. My wife, son, and I will be there - 50 yard line seats. I'm looking forward to it.

    GO CYCLONES!!! Beat Baylor!

Re: Time to have a short memory.

We played poorly against Texas. And again, in the opening quarter, we felt the need to turn the ball over again. Now that we are actually playing conference competitioin, which is better than all of the non-con games, we have to take care of the ball. We obviously can move the ball on teams, just need to clean it up. The penalties got to go too. Play as a team and play together.

I felt the D played well. It is time for the O and Herman to show up and help them out. All it takes is a strong performance against Baylor in the opening quarter. We should be angry at ourselves, need to get back to team ball and play hard.

Re: Time to have a short memory.

If Baylor is fast, expect to see those 3 yard passes to Monmey from us to get started right.

I think White is best one to start the running game.

From what we have seen, Woody should be moved to tight end this year......how many carries and for what yards has he made? Seems like last year was much better.

We could use a running threat from the tight end position to mess with Baylor's minds.
