IMO the smart money on this game is to stay away from it altogether. I can legimately see ISU winning or getting blasted.

    Re: Baylor line...

I'm going to go ahead and say Baylor -10.

Earlier on in the year i had marked K-State as a win. They have played pretty well these past couple of weeks. That being said, i still think we can beat K-State, therefore....why can't we beat Baylor?

There aren't a lot of games left that we have a real chance at.....Baylor is good, but still one of those games.

I strongly disagree with this. Oklahoma is clearly out of our league and it's probably wishful thinking to assume we could hang with Oklahoma State, but I really do think that ISU can - with well-disciplined play - hang with the other 6 teams remaining on the schedule.

The question is if we will see well-disciplined play out of this team. I'm hopeful.

    Re: Baylor line...

I look at this game versus Baylor as being a season breaker. If we win, we continue to win a few more. If we lose, we need to get our poop in a group and rebound. If we don't, we're ****ed as a team.
If the defense can contain RG3, we'll be ok. Our offense needs to step up and play like it can. No more ******** penalty's and stupid turnovers.
Baylor's defense isn't that great and we can use Jantz's abilities to score some points. We need to thrive on the short passes and running game from the outside. ISU has speed at the runningback position, it's time we use it. Offensive line needs to get healthy and start producing and we'll be alright in the end.
    ISU 31 Baylor 21

Anybody else feel ashamed that Baylor is -14 against? I understand Baylor is good, lines don't aren't predictions of outcomes, but dang, who woulda thunk it?

    Re: Baylor line...

Baylor is better than Texas and they just stomped us. We also can not contain running QB's, Rennie looked great against us. The line is reality hopefully we figure things out during the week and our O-Line continues to heal.

No not at all, lines are made to seduce people into betting....its all about putting the line at what people will be most likely to bet at...

    Re: Baylor line...

The only real chance the team has in that game is to run the ball down Baylor's throat. Run, run, and run some more. Eat up lots of clock.

The defense, although they've played well, lacks the speed to "contain" him. They bailed out the offense and kept Texas from making it 60-0 in the first half, but that won't happen with Baylor.

    Re: Baylor line...

No reason to bet this game. If we turn the ball over as much as we have, Baylor will cover. If we don't, we will cover and possibly win provided Burris is the only injured guy that doesn't play. It's really that simple.
