ISU and Mizzou in lead for Webster Chan

    One hour ago:
    GabeDeArmond Gabe DeArmond
Webster-Chan says #Mizzou and #IowaState still lead, not sure if he will take any more visits.
But why is he still considering us since FH obviously pulled his offer immediately so as to not oversign after Dorsey Walker committed?

Wow... you'd have to like our chances against Missouri, wouldn't you?

Their new head coach is a total crook that left Miami in a huge mess with the NCAA. And we have Hoiberg. Pretty easy choice if you ask me?

He's got a teammate considering Mizzou as well. May be a factor.

Missouri has the assistant that got NWC to Louisville. Correct? If so that's one reason why he would go there.

Easy decision for him. Does he want to play in a bad Bball conference or play in the best?

Not that I don't believe **** in this new world of twitter news but who is Gabe DeArmond and why should I believe him. Not that I don't because I assumed this was still the case.

Thanks, I assumed that was the case because of his background on twitter, but you know what they say about assuming.

Re: ISU and Mizzou in lead for Webster Chan

Couple reasons he might chose Mizzou:

    1. Teammate might go there.
    2. Assistant who got his commitment at L'ville is now there.
    3. They have plenty of scholarships to give
    4. As they have a lot of scholly's coming free, they will also be able to offer a lot of PT.

However, ISU is much better overall, our coach is the definition of honesty and integrity, and clone fans support bball more.

No idea what is going on w/ our scholarship situation.

The idea that he is still considering us should tell most that nobody from our staff has called him and said you no longer have a scholarship. I'm not saying that he will choose us, as right now I think Mizzou has more reasons going for them than we do, but we are definitely still interested in him if he wants to come.

I know our cyclones and id take fred hoiberg over the majority of college choices anyday, but to say that ISU basketball is in a better place than Mizzou isn't right, yeah they just got a new coach but they'll probably still finish in the top half, and have had much success than us the last 5 years...just saying..

Re: ISU and Mizzou in lead for Webster Chan

If its down to us and MU, I'd like to think our chances are pretty darn good. As was mentioned, the coach at MU is linked to a pretty big scandal. Now I don't know how much Webster-Chan knows the type of team CFH is building, but its tailor made for his size, abilities, and skill set. And there would be little doubt that he would thrive in Hoiberg's system. How would he do in MU's system? Who knows; and that's the point.

Yeah I get ya - i was speaking as a "fan". I do however get the impression that Mizzou fans don't support a successful bball team as well as we support a mediocre team.

Haith doesn't have a problem getting players. His problem is coaching.
