If the Big 12 adds 3 teams that currently make a lot less

like BYU, Louisville, West Virginia or South Florida(I think this list should be plan B) Do you think they will implement a phasing in of TV revenues? I know the Big 10 did this with Nebraska, although I don't know the details.

All of these schools are used to making a considerable amount less than the Big 12 would give.

I think you'd have to offer them a full share now or no one would consider jumping to a league that is perceived to be unstable. The existing members would take a bite right now but have four years to re-establish stability and hopefully cash-in with ESPN in 2016.

Last year we as fans were told that 10 is definitely way way better than 12. Remember? So if they go back to 12, then we know that was just a ******** spin on losing two members.

Speaking of South Florida, I really hope they aren't getting any serious looks. Not that I have anything really against the school, it just seems ISU recruits against them quite a bit, so I'd like to see them get their ***** knocked down a peg or two when the BE disintigrates.

you have to remember none of those schools get over 3-4 million of tv revenues now. I wouldn't be surprised if it was negotiated they would get more than their current deals but if current schools got less they might not get a full share until the tier 1 rights are negotiated.

Once the conference is stable, a lot of planning will go into who to invite. It will boil down to who can the conference get that will bring the most value to the conference. Knowing JP and others the way I do, you can expect a lot of outside the box thinking on who those discussions and invites will be with. One step at a time.

I, for one, still prefer ten members. Add BYU -or- Louisville and call it a day.

Per ESPN and FOX $$$$, it was spin so Booby Stops just had to beat UT at the fair to go the BCS.

“The piece that makes this work is when you divide up the money 12 ways versus 10… it’s a big bump for all of us,” said Pollard, who oversees an athletic budget of about $42.5 million. “There’s going to be significant incremental revenue for all of us, without any new television deals.”

Nebraska announced last Friday it would be joining the Big Ten after the 2010-11 season. Colorado accepted an invitation by the Pac-10 a day earlier and will start play in 2012-13.

“I’d argue we are stronger as a result of those decisions,” Pollard said.

If you want money, you go 12 or more. If you do not need money and will allow grave robbing, park at 10 and be eyeballed by four other conferences. We are in No Man's land. 12 is needed for survival. The BER was ewasy pickings. Still looks like 16 teams for ACC, B1G, Pac 12 , and Big 12 is where the train is headed. Not that anyone wants this, it is just the New Regime CBS/FOX/ABC ESPN way of the world.

Hindsight is worth a fortune. This year we see the error of our ways. Slive/Scott/Delaney are Pirates. Beebe was a vessel.
