Depends on what kind of atmosphere you want. I like the Wynn.

I went last weekend (BYE week) I don't really remember any sports type places.

Seriously they aren't hard to find.

Sports books are really fun places to watch sporting events, plus you can throw a little cash on Cy or whoever moves you. If by family, you mean younger kids too, then send them to the pool with mom and still go to the sports book.

Hope you guys roll Bevo! Maybe that will be the first "instant classic" they show on the longwhore network? Go get 'em and keep up your mo.

Was just there this past weekend. I like Luxor primarily because they don't allow smoking inside the Sportsbook--big bonus in my book. I had to laugh when I was at The Excalibur. They allowed cigarette smoking but had signs prominently displayed stating that no pipe or cigar smoking was allowed. Say what??

If you want to place bets, Planet Hollywood has one of the best sports books to watch games with couches for seating.

Lagassi's Stadium at the Venetian is nice, the food is good and there are a ton of TV's.

If you are off the strip take a look at Sierra Gold (the one located on Jones). Nice atmosphere with plenty of local scenery.

Lagasse's Stadium is a-*******-mazing. Forget the others, call them and get a reservation for the game.

Basically, they give you your own personal TV per table. You can request this be set to the ISU vs Texas game. Then, they have a billion TVs all around you showing the games. The food is good and they have plenty of drinks. And there's a sports book inside so you can still bet on any game.

I recommend this for a group, because you're guaranteed to all sit together (with a reservation of course) and be able to see your game of choice. Which makes it better than a regular sports book, unless the sports book is showing the Texas vs ISU game on a main jumbo screen. But drinks and food aren't easy to come by in those cases. Plus, there are no guarantees... if the crowd ******* about putting a different game on the main screen, they'll probably change it.

I was just in Vegas for the ISU v Iowa game, and got reservations at Lagasse's stadium after much research. We all had a great time. Only negative is, depending on the time they have minimums enforced per person. We had $50 minimums, but wanted to eat and drink and had no problem covering it with many pitchers.

You can drink all you want at the bellagio even if you aren't betting.

In other words, it is Wallabys with a 50 dollar minimum. Sweet.

Lagassi's Stadium at the Venetian - Awesome. I was sitting in there last year and watched ISU beat Texas. Great atmosphere. Gave all the Longhorn fans a good ribbing! So did just about everyone else in the bar. Would love to be there again to see us win again.
