Re: Iowa St/Nebraska TV chances not looking good....

Looking at that Big 12 lineup, the three games that probably have a chance at being broadcast are:

    1. Kansas State at Texas
    2. Oklahoma at Colorado
    3. Iowa State at Nebraska

However, would it even be possible to have a game in Colorado start at 11:30 AM??? Wouldn't that mean a gametime of 10:30 local time?

Re: Iowa St/Nebraska TV chances not looking good....

But...but...that release that came out a while back...parading around a better TV deal - wasn't that supposed to help us?

Yeah, that's what I thought - I saw that thing for what it was - hollow.

And yes, I'm aware it was more for basketball than football - but football was a part of that.

What a joke, on the first weekend of Big 12 games, only 3 will be televised.

Texas, Texas A&M Oklahoma. Everyone else (even #25 Missouri), better luck nex-...err...never.

Looks like they are passing on a great game. The Big Red are still red from embarrassment.

Re: Iowa St/Nebraska TV chances not looking good....

There can't seriously be more people that want to watch Baylor get ***** slapped by Texas than watch Iowa State play Nebraska. It took OT for Nebraska to beat Iowa State during the last game in Lincoln. What criteria is being used to measure viewer interest? Why even set the schedule this far in advance? A lot can change in 3 weeks.

It's all about the power three in the south. They love the TV package. They get virtually all of their games on TV. Everyone else in the Big Xll gets limited exposure unless they are playing one of the big three.

The other nine schools in this conference need to get organized and put an end to this poor arrangement.

Re: Iowa St/Nebraska TV chances not looking good....

i think we should start somthing.. this is pathetic.. at least make it so some ppl can watch our game.. aka big`12 north ppl..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

ISU's chances to be on TV are when we play a Big 10 school or when we play a Texas school.

    Didn't you get the memo?

I'm sure Nebraska is exploring that opportunity right now. The home team is responsibe for production and paying for the telecast. Look for a decision sometime this week or early next week. It was towards the end of last week that Nebraska announced this Saturday's game against Ball St will be a PPV telecast.

Oklahoma at Colorado (FSN) 12:30 p.m.
Kansas State at Texas (ABC) 2:30 p.m.

I wonder why they don't have a time yet? They usually announce that the Monday before the week of the game.
