George W Bush summed up TX when he ran for office the first time. An opponent accused him of having plenty of swagger. His reply was "In Texas that's just called walking."

Re: Texas doing a study on arrogance

I'm very arrogant. I call it confident, but that's fine, I get why people call me arrogant. Some say I border on cocky. The difference between regular arrogance and Texas arrogance, though, is that I'll do something that may not benefit me if it means the well being of the greater good. Do I look out for myself? Sure, but not to the point that I'm willing to watch others be hurt in doing so.
