    Blackberry problem

In the last few days, my Blackberry has been pausing all the time. Started on internet pages, but now does it when I'm trying to go through the menus too. Anyone know what might be going on? Very irritating!

Try clearing the cache for your internet. Delete messages too. Probably something with memory

I'll make it worse. I've had 6 Blackberry devices in 2 years through my work. The units freeze. Soft and hard resets just seem to prolong the agony.

They are unreliable. One year seems to be the maximum lifespan for a Blackberry.

RIM is doing poorly. That company is predicted to be one of the ten who will fail in 2011.

    Try a battery pull.

Tried that. Just did a memory cleaning from the advanced security options. Not sure if that clears the cache or what. Just found a download in my downloads section that I know I didn't add, but I'm not sure how to get rid of it.

Any chance you have it hooked up to your Corp email?

I agree. It's kind of like trying to stop the aging process. You might be able to slow it down (e.g. battery pulls) but you're just delaying the inevitable. I had a BB Curve and it barely lasted 2 years.

    Re: Blackberry problem

I have the Bold and I am on my second one since Feb. Once I got my refurbished one, I backed everything and did a device switch. The new phone was awful immediately, so I wiped it clean and only installed the necessary apps, and it runs very good now. I think the issue with BB is the apps are memory killers and the OS on each phone is junk a couple months after they are released.

Id suggest backing everything up and wipe the phone and only install a few apps that you use every day. If your with Verizon, a lot of their apps will show up frequently. NFL, VZW Navigator, etc. I just hide them, because they are not necessarily fully installed. Just show up as an icon in your folder.

Cleaning the memory seemed to do the trick. I removed all the apps a while back because I couldn't figure out how to shut them off, and the battery was barely making noon every day.

I have noticed a significant increase in battery life too. I can go 16 hours and have over half the battery life available, unless its game day at Jack Trice. My battery had died about 30 minutes after the first two games this season.

Do you have the bold too? Our Bolds have had a weird thing happen, both my wifes and mine. The items inside the Media Folder will be duplicated. I have had the music, pictures, videos, etc duplicate and be in the main menu section. Also, all of the apps in the Application Folder and Download Folder would be in the main menu not the specified folder. No clue what the deal is and not sure if others have seen that too.
