Re: Jeff Goodman doesn't think to much of Fred and ISU

well i hope he pays attention and prepared to back track quickly... not only did a lot of the top transfers choose ISU, but the top young freshman are now as well.

The fact that he included BYU in the Big XII indicates he's a complete moron. Even if they were going to join, they're not going to impact our position this year. I can't wait for basketball season to shut some of these guys up.

This is looking at the 2014 season, so I don't know why he's playing the transfer angle since all of them would have graduated.

Re: Jeff Goodman doesn't think to much of Fred and ISU

the related football article is sillier where they (CBS) puts ISU #9 in 2014 with the following comment.
    9. Iowa State: Paul Rhoads is turning the program around, but does anyone really think Iowa State isn't just a platform for Rhoads to find success elsewhere?

    9. Iowa State: The Mayor loves his transfers, but there's a reason all these guys didn't work out at their first stops.

OK what is the reason, Jeff, and what does it have to do with how well they're gonna play basketball? Was the reason because they weren't good? No. Was it because they weren't good teammates? No. Was it because they were trouble makers? Perhaps, but they've kept their noses clean over the last 1.5 years at ISU.

Also, Colorado at #12 in the PAC-12? I could see them finishing in the top-half of the conference THIS year.

Re: Jeff Goodman doesn't think to much of Fred and ISU

Good, we need sports writers out there who doubt us for motivation. I'd rather have articles like this than articles that crown our team as Big XII champs before even playing a game.

This team has an awful lot to live up to already and I think they will with Fred at the helm, but up to this point, they've done nothing.

Apparently Jeff doesn't believe in second chances. I hope he is ready to eat **** when we finish in the top 3 this year.

This is seriously the stupidest line in college sports and I keep seeing it.

Troy Aikman was such a bust @ UCLA...

Sounds like someone who doesn't know anything about ISU so he just went the generic transfers ********. I have always thought Goodman would be a better fit for Bleacher Report than something that should be a trusted source.

It's all snark from here on out

Why does Lon Kruger get so much credit. He has had a decent carreer. Not great. Did pretty decent at K-State. Also Kansas States Frank Martin is a solid solid coach. However, he is not getting the top 10 players he got 4 years ago. Also, Frank Haith has done nothing at Miami. Why does he think he will make Missouri that good.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I want to commend Jeff Goodman. It takes a gigantic set of stones to write about college basketball when you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. It takes courage to write a piece that you have done absolutely no research for and simply just wing it. That is like walking into your bosses office to make a presentation you have known about for months and didn't lift a finger to prepare for....That takes guts. Once you put that story out on the internet for everyone to see there is no taking it back. It takes a superhuman amount of confidence to admit to the world that you are an incompetent fool and never hesitate. Jeff Goodman I salute you sir. Bravo.
