    Idea for Cy

Cy, if you are out there...
I think that Cy should come out onto the field before the Texas game in an arm sling, cast, and crutches. Then, with some melodramatic music from the marching band and Hulk Hogan-style thrashing, break loose of his bandages showing how quickly he can recover and that some Big-East thugs can't keep him down.

Is this serious? Wtf. He didn't break a leg so the need for crutches is unneccessary.

When they have the camera that hovers over the field like the Iowa game I think the perfect opening shot for a prime time game on FX would be Cy start at the top of the student section in the lower level and crowd surf down to the field! Would give our mascot some pub and look awesome!

Can we pump in the theme music from 2001 on the new sound system?

Seriously, they should do something like this. Don't F with Cy.

Did they say they are doing an aerial cam again for the Texas game? I thought it was awesome that they used one against Iowa. Can't recall a game that they used one prior to Iowa.

I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

    Re: Idea for Cy

Instead they should light Cy on fire and shoot him out of a canon where he bursts through a paper sign of the UCONN husky.

hmmm... what about doing something with Cy and Jake Knott together who have fast healing broken arms in common... and perhaps the theme from Rocky blasting...

then out to the 50 yard line... lose the sling, and start cranking out some one armed push-ups (on the other arm if the hurt one is still a little tender)

    Re: Idea for Cy

I would love to see a video of Cy rehabbing the injury. They could use the song "Broken Wing" by Mister Mister. At the end of it, Cy could be on the 50 yard line and just rip off the bandages. Wing healed and Cy is ready to rock and roll.

How about we just watch a football game and leave the drama students out of this

    Re: Idea for Cy

My original idea was for Cy to ride into the stadium in the back of an ambulance, and then wave off the EMTs offering to take him back to the hospital before running out to midfield.

Now that I think about it, that might be just a little over the top. We're talking football here, not an episode of "Glee". Since we're going to be in the spotlight that night, we need to do something that doesn't make us look like a bunch of goobers to the rest of the country.

Maybe have Cy sneak up behind another member of the mascot squad who is dressed in a homemade Hawkeye outfit, drop him into a chokehold until he passes out, and then write on his face with a permanent marker?
