    Austin McBeth still going

I just noticed Austin McBeth is on the squad again this year. (as a walkon) Did he quit the football team? I'm guessing none of us expected him on the team this year when he joined last year but I'm glad to see he's still on the team.

I had to laugh because on cyclones.com they list his position as "Quarterback".

Yes, I need a diversion from re-alignment so I'm going to bball.

Yes. He went to Italy with his team, too. After surviving through last year he has a right to be on the team.

100% basketball now. Played in the Cap City League this summer too.

Great kid. Seems to get along well with the other guys (transfers and hold overs alike). Funny too.

Here's hoping we have some blow outs so he can log some minutes.

This here is a dangerous statement. Blow outs = Winning big and blow outs = career/season ending knee injury.

So here'e is to hoping we have some huge leads this season so he can log some minutes!

Someone's trying extra hard not to jinx anything, I see.

    Let me re-phrase that...

Here's hoping we have some huge score differentials in our favor so Mr. McBeth can see some action on the court.

    Better?

Very happy for him. As much as I love BB and ISU BB I would have loved that oppurtunity when I was a student. ( I think a lack of skill, athleticism, height (but not weight!!) grades my first 2 years, etc. put a damper on that.

Austin's a really nice kid. I definitely hope we can get some big enough leads for him to see the court some.

    Re: Austin McBeth still going

Gotta love a kid that puts in a lot of work for barely any recognition or playing time
