    happy for james white

could have easily transferred when we recruited shontrelle and what would have been his playing time was gobbled up by a younger player. instead, he stayed, worked hard and is now splitting time at RB. glad his hard work has been rewarded in kind. i have been equally impressed with his play as i have been in SJ's.

Being given the title the hardest worker on the team from the coaches goes a long way in my book too....

    Re: happy for james white

White is doing great - as is Shontrelle.

I'm not sure why people are demanding White start or believe he's doing so much better. He's been in the game when we've been in scoring position, so fans get confused that he's getting in the end zone and Shontrelle hasn't.

However, last I checked Shontrelle had a better average.

White has been solid but what games are you guys watching? Shontrelle has been great. He's averaging 1.5 more a carry too.

    Re: happy for james white

Both running backs have been very solid. It is great we have a 1-2 punch like that. Shontrelle is due to break one. He is better of the edge and has more elusiveness, but it seems like White does a little better between the tackles. It is great to have depth like that because I doubt both stay healthy all season.

You guys are both nuts. Just because SJ hasn't gotten the endzone you cannot seriously say this. SJ has so much more elusiveness then White it's not even comparable. Shontrelle has been running fantastic this season.

Both guys have been excellent. They're both playing a key role. I'm comfortable that neither one fumbles but both can break a play wide open.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Shontrelle is sneaky. He wiggles his way through the hole and it doesn't seem like much but then you look and he just got us 5 yards.

    Re: happy for james white

White has been great, and I think we have two really good running backs. Adding in Woody and the good things we've heard about Hollis has me excited.

Shontrelle has been agonizingly close to breaking several runs/returns. I'm thrilled that we're going to have 3 years of these two together!

The only lean I would give to James over Shon is that he hasn't put the ball on the ground. Both have looked good overall.

    Re: happy for james white

I have actually been impressed with both backs. SJ always seems to find an extra yard or two, when you think he is stopped. Which is pretty incredible when you look at his size. White doesn't seem to have a weak spot in his game either.
